March 2, 2019 | University of Arkansas in Fayetteville
You are invited to attend the Poultry Science Open House beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the University of Arkansas.
Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. with a light breakfast. The open house will start
at 8:00 a.m. with a departmental overview which includes representatives from admissions,
scholarships and housing. Lunch will be available from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Poultry Science Department in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences has talented faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and excellent scholarships. When you consider career opportunities, know that our graduates are in great demand and starting salaries are excellent. Our curriculum also gives students exceptional preparation for professional schools such as veterinary or medical school; 100 percent of our students who have applied to these types of schools in recent years were accepted to at least one program.
The Poultry Science Open House will be held on the University of Arkansas’ campus in the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science, located at 1260 West Maple Street just north of Razorback Stadium. There will be four 30-45 minute long workshops covering these topics:
- Cell and Molecular Biology
- Avian Anatomy (Digestive/Reproductive Track)
- Food Product Technology
You will also meet faculty and current students in the Poultry Science Department,
as well as learn how to apply for admission to the University of Arkansas. We hope
that these workshops will help you learn more about the different areas of interest
in our department.
In appreciation of your attendance, we will provide a ticket for you and one guest to the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss basketball game, which will take place at 12:00 p.m. immediately following the event. Limited tickets are available.
