Poultry Science Research

Our faculty-led research programs are comprehensive in nature and range from fundamental, basic research programs to applied applications and programs that are responsive to stakeholder problems or needs.  Within the broad discipline of Poultry Science we have faculty members engaged in research areas that include: 1) Avian Physiology, Immunology and Molecular Biology; 2) Poultry Breeding and Genetics; 3) Poultry Nutrition and Production Management; 4) Animal Welfare and Behavior; 5) Poultry Health, Microbiology and Food Safety; and 6) Poultry Meat Quality and Product Technology.

Through collaboration with the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, our researchers are able to conduct comprehensive studies to meet the needs of the poultry science industry in Arkansas and beyond.
